There was a sitting of an Assessment;- Court, with Mr A. M. Mowlern, S.-M., as Judge, in Wa-ipukma-u to-day, when five objections from • fifty-one property owners. on the urban farm rating list wore heard. The total valuations had been reduced £7,379,. and in the case of . objectors with an aggregate -of - 78 -areas, previously valued at £3,055, by- £-555. The Court sustained three valuation's, including- that- of on© property not- originally , reduced ; but conceded ,£6O-for an estate of 19 acres valued -a-t £3BO, and £7O- for one of ten acres valued at £3OO.- During hearing the court supportedr-the, Borough Council « point that th© - owner must himself use the land for agricultural and -pastoral purposes to gain .reliei, :
