INVERCARGILL, August 23.

Tli,a members of the Southland Electric Power Beard had an all-day sitting to-dav, discussing the question of the interest payments to the Board’s London bondholders in all its various aspects, and they were assisted in their deliberations by a number of representative citizens from the c.ountrv and the town.

This evening the chairman of the Board, Mr AY. Rinchey, stated that the question of paying all the future interest, commencing with the September payment, in New Zealand currency was determined upon.

A deputation from the Board is to meet the Minister of Finance \Mr Coates) in Wellington on Friday.
