At the New Zealand ladies’ hockey tournament to-day, results were: Section A—Akitio 4 beat Auckland 3; Canterbury 5. beat Wairarapa B 1; Southland 6 beat Ruahine B 2. Section B —Wellington 4 beat Feildjng 1; Otago 6 beat Ashburton 0; Ruahine A 2 beat Wanganui 0. Section C—Bush 3 beat Marlborough 0; Eastern 4 beat Manawatu 3; Taranaki 4 beat Wairarapa A 1. MAWHERA DEFEAT ROVERS. . A match between tlie Mawhera and Rover ladies’ hockey teams' was played on Cass Square yesterday afternoon and was won by Mawhera by 3‘goals to one. For the winners Miss McGrath and Mrs Currv and Mrs Thompson ry and McGrath and Mrs Thompson scored, while Miss D. Wallace scored for Rover. Messrs Stapleton and McGrath were referees . Hokitika A defeated Rover B bv 6to nil. The Rev. O. 0. Hailwood was referee.
