An anti-cyclone covers the North Island, its centre being located to the eastwards, while a westerly depression is advancing across the Tasman Sea;
The forecast is for moderate but freshening northerly to northwest winds. Weather unsettled with rain, heavy falls being likely in places. Seas rough.
