TOURNAMENT OPENS TO-DAY

■ The 1933 West Const golf championships opened this morning in dull, but fine conditions, and the eighty-two players in the men’s and ladies’ matches all got away after a short delay. The morning play in the men’s section comprised the first (Qualifying round in the championships, the second qualifying round being played this afternoon.

The /ladies’ qualifying |round this morning was played concurrently With a medal handicap match.
