FEDERAL SURPLUS
A REDUCTION IN TAXATION

SYDNEY, August 16. ' Addressing the United Australia Party meeting, the Hon. A. Parkhill stated that the Federal surplus was about £3,750,000, and that amount would have been distributed if Parliament had been sitting, and the budget delivered. When the budget was delivered, it would be in the. nature of reducing taxation to at least the amount of the surplus stated.
