FORMATION IN AUCKLAND

HAMILTON, August 16. The formation of the New Zealand Political Federation,* an organisation pledged to a broad programme of political action, Parliamentary and economic reform, Was announced in Hamilton to-day by prominent members of the executive! , ' • The Federation, which has. been in existence" for several months, has drawn up a programme comprising the following proposals (a) Reform in the system of Government, '(b) The review of taxation; expenditure and administration, (c) A practical method of. dealing with unemployment, (d) Reform of finance and currency, (e) Consideration of the outlook for the young people. The details of the programme were released by Air Alfred Oldham, of Auckland, the vice-chairman; Air J. Caughey, the secretary; and Alessrs D. Donaldson and J. H. Potter, all of Auckland. The chairman is Air J B. Donald.
