LOTTERY WINNERS.

- SYDNEY,..August 15 ■ The Golden Crest Art. Union for city charities was drawn, and the first prize consisting of diamonds worth three thousands pounds sterling, was won by George Peebles, of Taneatua, Auckland. It was also announced that a New Zealand syndicate, the names which are not disclosed, drew the second prize of one thousand pounds in the 146th State lottery of New South. Wales.
BLUE STAR SHIPPING DELAY
SYDNEY, Augus 15
The entry of the Blue Star line into the Australian shipping trade has been postponed for twelve months,, unforseen circumstances having arisen preventing a regular service being begun as soon as had previously been expected.
