Parkinson, won the New Zealand national section.for the North v. South pairs in tlie world contract bridge contest; in which there are 100,000 entries from "forty-six conn-,-tries.
The contestants on May 1 played a number of hands specially' prepared by the committee controlling the contest.
The successful New Zealand pair in the East v. West division is not" yet announced.
