MAU LEADERS’ GRIEVANCES

WELLINGTON, August 12
The Samoan coi respondent of the Press Association writes from Apia under date August 3, that a severe earth tremor was felt on Mohday morning, July 24. If was preceded by a rumbling sound, houses being violently shaken.and articles cbsplaced.
The Mau leaders lately have had several meetings with the Administrator with a view to settling their grievances. Although no definite conclusions have yet been arrived at the position is greatly improved and the negotiations toward a. settlement aro further advanced than they have been for some considerable time.
