MAGISTRATE’S COURT
BUSINESS AT HOKITIKA. There wa s a sitting of the Magistrate’s Court at Hokitika, to-day when Mr IV. Meldnun dealt with the following cases:— judgment Summons. Messrs O'Ccnnell, Trimmer and Lamb (Mr Elcoek) sought to recover the sum of -tS/J/6 from Emily Alice Boyd (Mr Murdoch). After hearing the evidence the Court declined to make an order. Fai'u e to Pay l evy. Ten charges of 'ailure to pay the unemployment levy were preferred .against IV. F. Barrowmnn, the hearing being adjourned for a fortnight. Unregistered Motor. For having an unregistered ' motor vob'clo, Leslie Eager was fined 10/- and costs. Wandering Stock. F< r nermifting stock to waiv'd', X. R. Wilson was fined 10/- and costs: and T. M. Staines, sour., a similar amount.
