DOMESTIC TROUBLE
CHARLES PURDY IX COURT. (Australian Press Association). •SYDNEY, July 27. Ch:irle s Purdy, the Xew Zea’ar.d boxer, and the former welterweight champion of Australia, summoned his wife in the City Court' to-day, alleging that she had used threatening words. He complained that she had threatened to shoot him, and had used foul language.
Mr Roach, the solicitor for the wife, asked: “Ar<j you frightened of your wife ?”
Purdy: “Yes. She is a had woman, and is likely to do anything.” He added that he was anxious to leave Australia, and return to Xew Zealand. The Magistrate bound the- wife over in a bond of £lO to be of good behaviour for twelve months. A
