As the markets have staged a partial recovery to-dny, the Roosevelt Administration have redoubled their reports for the formation of the industrial recovery codes. The President, speaking over the radio, personally launched a great propaganda Wave on behalf of the blanket code, which will be inaugurated on 1 August Ist next. He urged that industry and labour should immediately accept the new programme, so that purchasing power might be increased through having shorter working hours and increased wages. He declared that the American people could not go through another winter of staggering unemployment. RESTRICTED BUSINESS HOURS. NEW YORK, July 25. The Stock Exchange, following the close of to-day’s abbreviated session, announced that, until further notice, trading hours will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be no session next Saturday.
