CHRISTCHURCH, July 27
Twenty-one charges of breaking and entering shops and houses in the city, one charge of attempted breaking and entering, and one charge of theft, were admitted in the Magistrate’s Court this morning by Charles William Arthur Cairns, aged 18, a ■salesman. ,He was committed for sentence. Cairns admitted using explosives on two occasions.
Evidence war, given that the jewellery stolen was worth £3OO.
THREE YEARS’ GAOL
TJMARU, July 27
At the. Supreme Court, Daniel Francis Horgan, on two charges of breaking and entering, was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment on each charge, tile sentences to be concurrent.
