■RESOLUTIONS .AT CONFERENCE

Ait the iWonien’.s Institute Conference, the balance sheet, which was adopted, showed a. total -credit balance of |£2'24 13s; compared with a credit at the beginning of the year of £B'! 6s 7d. During the year affiliation fees totalled £2BB, donations £l6O 10s, and profits on sales of literature £sl 6s 6d. Expenses for the year were £391 11s 6d. The secretary, All's It, Kelso, presented the balance sheet of the Institute magazine. “Home and Country, which showed subscriptions totalling i£453 6s Bd. cash in band £52 16s, and expenses £479, The following resolutions wer c carried :
That all nominations for the Dominion ‘.executive committee be accompanied by their qualifications for their work
That, the editor of “Home rind Country’- he asked to publish a series of articles on the running of night circles.
That it he a. recommendation to- Die •area federations that, to help maintain. the informal pature of the group system, each group .should consistriot more thin ten. and not less than four -Institutes, _ except 'in exceptional circumstances. After a ballot, Airs H, Patterson, of Pahiatita, was elected firet president of the Dominion federation.
