FALSE PRETENCES
YOUNG POLISH JEW CONVICTED

WELLINGTON. July 26
Lengthy' evidence was heard at the trial of David Rozental, alias David Bose, in the Supreme Court before Mr Justice Reed find a jury, on two charges of false pretences and one charge of theft. The trial began on Monday afternoon, and was not concluded until to-day.
Mr Mellzer appeared for the defence. ■He addressed the jury this morning for an hour and , a half. He was followed by M r Maeassey for th© Grown, after which Hi s Honour summed up. The jury retired at 12.17, and return, ed after the luncheon adjournment with a verdict of guilty, on all counts, and also a. recommendation to leniency on account of the prisoner’s age, which is 23,
