JOHNS (Newfoundland) July 25 “As Lord Amulree has not submitted any recommendations, I have no comment to make,” declared the Premier, Dir Alder dice, to-day when advised of the London report published in New York, stating:— “Newfoundland will temporarily lose her status as a self-governing colony if the British Government approves ,of tho report of Lord Amulree’’s commission.” A “PREMATURE” STORY. (Received this day at 11 ’<a.m.) MONTREAL, July 25. Sir William Stavert, a member of Lord Amulree’,s commission, characterised the New York story as “premature,” stating that, as far as he knew, no report had been presented.
