Lords Remington, Me Idlest and Riddell and Sir Stanley Machin' are among the signatories to a manifesto that has been issued by the Empire Trade League, urging the establishment of local 'organisations in' the provincial towns to organise ana establish over-

seas community settlements in well situated and compact areas, where intense activities could speedily be organised. The manifesto says: “Huge colonising adventures, under Charte'Ved Companies, or other auspices, can only be regarded ,as a long-range plan for the future.”
