AUCKLAND, July 24, Probate has been granted of the wil lof Mr John Court, who died on W July 6. The estate is valued at under £60,C00, The disposal of the estate, ' apart from a few minor provisions, is. left entirely in the hands of trustees* and on additional public gifts are expressly provided for. It is now revealed, however, that in September, 1926. Mr Court set aside five thousand pounds to be administered for charitable purposes within thecity of Auckland, and created a trust to administer it during the donor’s lifetime. The income of this fund was spent on charitable purposes year by year by a trustee under Iris direction..
The trustees now have full power to. pay and apply the trust fund and the income arising therefrom to such charitable purposes in the city of Auckland as they shall think fit. The fundi is to be known 'as the John Court Memorial Fund.
