GREY CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of ilm Gieymouth Bowling Club was held at t. 1 e Club’s pavilion last evening, and was attended by forty-three members. Mr E. 11. Moss, President, was hi the chair, and in welcoming members, expressed great pleasure at the largu number present. He particularly wished to welcome Mr T. Jones, a pioneer member of the Club. He read apologies for absence from Messrs J. lling, W. Scott, J. Ahearn and L. Hodge. In connection with the-apolo-gies, the President remarked that it was the first occasion since 1906 that Mr Ring was unable to attend an annual meeting. All wished him speedy recovery and hoped to see him present on the green in the coming season. The election of officers resulted as follows; President, Mr J. M. Bunt; vice-president, Mr A. Kibble; secretary and treasurer, Mr W. Coltman • delegate to Centre, Mr S. Peek• auditor, Mr Leach (re-elected); committee (six members), Messrs W. Scott, Peek, Ahearn, Brisbane, Ta-bb, Shannon j selection committee, Messrs McLaren, Peek and Ahearn.

AH out-going officers were accorded a hearty vote of thanks, the work of the secretary, Mr A. A. Adams, being especially eulogised. A lengthy discussion took place on the set of model rules as laid down by the New Zealand Bowling Association, It was decided that the matter receive the recommendation of ftjhe Club’s delegate at the annual meeting of the Centre,
