At Lords, the Players in the first innings, scored 309. Marriott, took foul for 81. The Gentlemen made 143 in the first innings, Jardine scoring 59. The Gentlemen, following on, lost 6 for 152, Turnbull making 72 The Gentlemen in their .second innings made .177. The Players in their second innings lost, none for 12, therebv winning by ten wickets.
