AUCKLAND, July 17

An unusual oourso of holding an inquest without a body will be followed in the case of Edward Henry Hawkins, a young man who is believed to have been drowned in the harbour on May 29. The AttorneyGeneral having received a report from the Magistrate that the missing man’s body is believed to have been destroyed or to be lying in a place whence it is not recoverable, has directed the Magistrate (Mr Hunt) to proceed with an inquest.
