EMBARGO
OPPOSED TO LIFTING. (Per Press Association— Copyright.) WELLINGTON, July 14. Definite opposition to any suggestion that the embargo on the importation of stock should be lifted, was made at 'the Farmers’ Union Con-' ference, and the following Auckland remit was carried unanimously that the maintenance of the embargo aga|nst the direct importation of animals from Great Britain and other, countries subject to foot and mouth disease should lie strictly maintained.
