Appeals by-way. rof a - rehearing were made in the Supreme Court to-day by William Henry Npy, seventh engineer, and Stanley Arthur Smith, second officer, of the Mai’ama, r against their convictiphs op charges ,of attempting to export silver from New Zealand. , They were dismissed by His Honour, Air Justice Ostler. Judge Ostler said that the inference was irresistible (that the silver was collected for one purpose only, and that wqs the export, of it for profit.
