LONDON, June 28. At the Wimbledon tennis tourney, results to-day were follows; MEN’S DOUBLES—FIRST ROUND.

Quist and Turnbull (Australia) defeated Vines and Gledhill (lI.S-A.) 4—6, 5-7, 6-2, 6—4, 6—2. The Australians provided to-day’s thrill at Wimbledon, when Turnbull and Quist, in their debut on the nerve testing centre court, decisively crushed the American doubles champions, whom the committee ranked the second best pair in the; tourney.
