CROSSING SMASH

INQUEST ON FOUR VICTIMS. CORONER RESERVES VERDICT (per Press Association — Copyright.) WELLINGTON, June 30. An inquest was held to-day in connection with a level crossing accident, in which four people lost their lives at Porirua on May 21. Evidence showed that tlic car attempted to cross the line when the red signals were hashing. The driver, Stanley Lincoln, and -the only surviving adult passenger, Harry Hoiroyd, both said that they remember nothing about the accident. The coroner said that he would give his finding next week.
