SHANGHAI, June 23
The White Swastika, .relief organisation at Harbin report terrible coi’.ditione in the Hailun-Suihiva territory, which ha.s not recovered irom the disastrous floods of last year. The inhabitants arc reduced to eating bark of trees, leaves and sawdust. It is further reported that tne flood waters
of the Ynngtszc are causing grave anxiety. Feverish precaution are being taken to combat a disaster similar to that of two years ago, which affected 34,000 square miles, involved 23,000,000 persons, and took toll of a thousand lives.
