SHIP TWO DAYS OVERDUE. SIDNEY, June 27, The coastapljgt’eamer Christina Fraser, is two days overdue on a voyage between Bulli (on the New South Wales coast), and Geelong (Victoria). There is just a possibility that she is sheltering from the recent heavy seas in the vicinity of Gabo. Several aeroplanes will search the coastline to morrow.
A NEW EVENING PAPER

SYDNEY June 28
The Melbourne “Argus” Australian Proprietary announces the intention to begin publication of a new evening paper to be called the “Star ’ in the early part of November, making a second evening paper for Melbourne.

SYDNEY, June 27. The death is reported Mr Charles Tait, the eldest of the well-known theatrical brothers, who was regarded as the founder of the family fortune, though otherwise he was a silent partner. He brought out the “Besses O’ The Barn Band,” Dame Clara Butt, Dame Melba, Fritz Kreisler, lan Paderweski and John McCormack. He was sixty-two years of age.
