John- Jardiney was arrested at Balelutha on Monday morning and brought before, the Balclutha ' Police Court to-day,;.. on; >.a charge of breaking and entering thd, premises of the Balelhthai station ou April 18th, ’>y ~ jOn the application of Detoctivo, Ser-; goant• Nuttall, Jardine ivas remanded: to appear atßalclutha on July .oth.;,. when several other serious charges will be preferred against him, The police have reason to believe that the mystery of a series of burglaries and hold-ups which have occurred at. Balolutha and the surrounding districts htiG been cleared up by the arrest of Jardine,
