A threat to kidnap the 14 months old daughter of Mr Janie,? Roosevelt, son of t>he President, has been revealed, following a fire which destroyed the summer home of the child’s father at Xew Hampshire. The amount sought by the supposed kidnappers is not known, but it is presumed that the threat was made in a letter to the father, as the Tost Office "•ltlioritie.c were asked to aid Secret •Service men in the investigation. The President had iu’fcnded vis'ding his so,.i during the v ••ek-'-n.l. it was he who instructed the Secret Service to investigate.
