WEST COAST. RUGBY UNION i £ • The management Committee of the West Coast Rugby Union met at Greymouth last evening. The referee I*ll the United-Cobden A junior match reported having ordered off J; Kyle, a Cobden player, for disputing his .decision. Kyle was placed on the caution list. The referee in the Kumara-Rapahoe match reported that he had occasion to order Pierson, a Kmnara .player, for disputing his decision. Pierson’ was also placed on the caution list. The same referee reported that an ex-play-er rushed onto, the field and interfered with the play. It was decided to advise the Kumara Club, asking them to exercise the necessary control to keep spectators from interfering with the matches. The Westland Sub-Unron’s request to meet the Committee at an informal meeting next Tuesday night was agreed to. The Nelson TJnicn wrote stating that the. date suggested by the Committee was not suitable for its challenge match, and asking that the date first proposed be adhered to. It was decided to rep’y stating that the challenge could not be accepted until after August oth, on account of club competitions. ; /

The tender of Newman Bros, was accepted for the transport of the West Coast team to Duller bn Saturday. The players are to assemble at Greymouth at 7 p.m. on Friday, Thb matter of accommodation of Hokitika players at Greymouth was left to the Secretary to arrange. The-team will leave Greymouth on Saturday morning at 8 o’clock, and return on Saturday night. They are to train at the Cobden Gym. at 7.30 on Friday 1 night. The team will be located at the Empire Hotel in- Westport. Messrs Adams, Dowell, Eggleton and Devaney are to accompany the team- Mr Adams as manager.
