TO HUSBAND AND WIFE. PETITION AND COUNTER PETITION. - . ' ; t ■ 1 ■ . •-r AUCKLAND, June 2C; A husband and his wife were Loth giv.'ntej. electees 'in divorce by Mr .justice Reed to-day. The husband petitioned on the grounds of sepatat;o'n, and liis Wife cross-petitioned on tlie grounds of alleged adultery. “Do 1 understand that you both w'ant- a divd'tve ?” asked the judge. Counsel for the wife said that she wanted the divorce granted to her, and not to her husband. Hie Honour: “I can give them both a decree. If it is their desire that the public be informed of their domestic troubles, this is the right way to go about it.” After counsel had conferred, counsel for the wife said that she would not oppose her husband’s petition, but the also would ask for a deciee on the ground of separation. Both husband and wife then gave evidence that they had been separated for three years, and a dechree nisi was- 'granted., in . each case. The husband was ordered to pay the costs of one case.
