After tho match for the D.ttman .Shield on Saturday, the manager of the Hokitika team (Mr A. Cutbush), and the Captain (Mr M. Davidson), spoke briefly over the air from 3 Z R, Greymouth.

The Hokitika Golf Club has received advice from Mrs R. A. Cranston, widow •of the late 1 M r C- Cranfitoi’i, and formerly of Hokitika, cf her intention to donate to the Club the sum of 250 dollars (£7B/14/-)'. The committee will submit proposals to Mrs Cranston, whoreunder they propose to utilise the money. Mrs Cranston is at present residing at San Rhfac-l in'California.
