ULM’S PROGRESS
AT SINGAPORE IN RECORD TIME. PLANE DEPARTS FOR RANGOON(‘United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SINGAPORE, June 21. Ulm’s plane arrived here at 3.54 p.m. to-day (Saturday), or at 4.30 p.m. Derby time. Ulm says they had an interesting and fast flight over the water via Bali Straits and Java Sea, occupying sateen and a half hours for the 1850 miles. The weather report indicates there is much rain, as the South-West Monsoon is in full giving, Alj three aboard are well, and are pleased with doing the fastest time between Australia and Singapore, Ulm departed from Rangoon at S a.m, FORCED DOWN AT ALORSTAR.
(Received th; s day at 9.55 a.m.) SINGAPORE, June 26. Ulm was forced down at Alorstar, owing to engine trouble, and it is likely that he will be delayed for one day.
