RAIDS CAUSING DESPERATION. FAMILY RESISTS TROOPS. BERLIN. June 23. As an example of the desperation to which constant night raids are- driving trio Socialists, when six Storm Troopers entered the house l of the trade union leader, Johann Schausse, his son, Anton, with the desperate idea of protecting his parents, lived down the stairs, killing one of the Storm Troopers. Anton then rushed from the house, and emptied his revolver at the driver of the Storm Troops* car, but he killed hi e brother-in-law, who was he:ng detained in the coir. Anton was later 1 tinted down and arrested. His mother was alslo arrested. His father was found hanged. ORGANISATIONS DISSOLVED. “NATIONAL YOUTH GROUP.” (Received June 24 at 8.50 >a.m.) BERLIN, June 23. Boy Scouts and similar organisations, except the Catholic Group, have been dissolved throughout Germany, and their funds and property seized, preparatory to. welding into the “national youth group” in pursuance of Hitler’s claim that Germany’s youth belongs exclusively to the Nazis. On the ground that “It- is unjust to make the public pay for criminal or disloyal elements,” the political opponents of the Nazis who aro in preventive custody, are being compelled to pay expenses of their detention also for the upkeep of moneyless prisoners.
