EXPORT FROM NEW ZEALAND RE-EXPORT BY COMPANY. (Per Press Association-- Copyright.) HAMILTON, June 22. Owing to the export of calf veils by inter.set.? opposed to co-operation, it became necessary to import from overseas to supply the cheese factories requirements, stated the chairman (Mr J. B. Murdoch), at the annual meeting of the N.Z. Co-operative Rennet Coy. last night. “We are still in doubt as to whether sufficient- N.Z. veils will be offered to us next season, and to protect the shareholders interests we had to purchase large supplies from England which 'are now in transit. Provision has been made, as in P‘-’fit years, not only for rennet and colour actually J. B. Murdoch), at the annual mectfor oil possible additional requirements of the- industry. In the past all our products have been manufactured from New Zealand raw material,” added Air Alurdoch; “Certain companies have brought up New Zealand veils and exported them, and we had to import the veils from Europe. Such a position rshould not be tolerated if we are prepared to buy up all the veils available for the next two or three years. “It was good news to hear from the Minister to-day that he had issued an ultimatum insisting our company be supplied with all the veils available. We shall see that this is carried into effect.”
