BOX FACTORY- IN HOKITIKA. A start has been made with the construction of the premises for a box factory ip, Gibson Quay, and it is e§ti-; mated that three months will 'see the start of an industry which (will be of benefit to the town rnd. district in general. The contract as been let to Mr P, R. Wliitfoi'd, and must be.fin-, ished by early in September. The building will be of generous'size, the floor space being 150 ft- by; 40ft.; • while the drying kiln will occupy; a space 50 feet by 14,. feet. (Machinery from the present factory at Koitenangi which Ims r.ow closed,, will be-instci'ledv but will constitute only a portion ’of the total plant. •>.
