ELECTION PETETION
THE STRATFORD MAYORALTY. (Per Press Association ~~ Copyright.) STRATFORD, May 29. The hearing of the Stratford Mayoral election petition,as telegraphed o n May 19th, opened before Mr Woodward, S.M., to-day. Mr L. M. Moss, New Plymouth, opened for the petitioners, and Mr A. Coleman for the respondent. Lengthy evidence was called. The hearing was incomplete when an adjournment was taken at 6.30 p.m. till to-morow.
