A shallow irregular depression extends from the north Tasman Sea towards the Chatham Islands. A slight .anti cyclone covers the south Tasman Sea. The forecast is for light to moderate and variable winds with easterlies predominating. Weather will be cloudy to overcast with some showers or misty rain, but gradually improving. Temperatures rather cool, seas smooth to moderate.
