SWINE FEVER

WELLINGTON, May 24
Inspectors of the Agricultural Department are milking an extensive examination in the hope of detecting dud possibly checking any fuither out'hr’ealis of swine fever. Reports of suspicious deaths have been received from all parts of Manawatu, but vistis paid there yesterday by officers of the Department proves these were not duo to swine fever and so far there are no symptoms in that district 1 ino- to the malady. Most of the animals destroyed by the Department to> date are ordinary pigs of commerce and so- far no stud holds are affected.
