OVER £SO LOST
A WORKER’S SAVINGS
AUCKLAND, May 18
The sum of £54 in notes was lost in the city yesterday afternoon by a visitor who .arrived from North Auckland on the previous evening. The money comprised two £lO notes, the balance being in £-5, £1 and 10s notes. The man, who had been working in a quarry at Kawakawa since Christmas, was on his way to seek another position at Coromandel, and the sum represented his savings for six month's: He cashed a 10s note and then put the other notes into his trouser, pockets. A short time later when lie came to pay his fare on a tramcar lie -found that liis roll of notes had disappered.
