Gymnasium.—At a- well-attended meeting in All iSaiahs’ school room, Bev. 11. It. Leech presiding, it was. decided, to. form the “All ; Saints’ Gymnasium 'Club.” The following officers were elected: —President, H. L. Michel, Esq. ;, vice-presmpat,. MrAV. F. Newman;, committed, Messrs G. Moore,. A. Folley,.,L. Hill?, &. B. Mabin, M. Houston; captain; Mr A. 0. Warwick; vice-captain,-. M. Houston. The subscription was fixed at ss. respit'd Lljinmittoe.—The annual meeting, of the Hokitika district comin it tee wad held last evening, Mr G. Davis presiding. The , following oommitics was elected for the, ensuing year: Messrs W, Heinz, II Jacobs, J. 11. McN'anghton, R. Cooper, G. Davis, 'S. Wogan, and S. Cockvano.
Hockey.—The following will repreisent the Hokitika juniors in tlicir match with Kumara on Wednesday:— Dykes, Hanrahan, Mrokay, Stapleton, Dowell, W. Wild, Hills, .Renton, Cox. Dclpii and Pfeifer. Land Board.—The members of the We tland Land Board, Messrs Pollock, Lang and Gumming,: with Mr Sheet, acting-Connuinsionof of Grown Lands, paid n visit to the islands in the river-bed of the (Koka-tahi Y alloy, in connection with the expressed intention of the Board to deal with the letting of these lands. Personal.—Dr. E. Teichelmann has been appointed chairman of the YVcstlid Goldfields Ryclircatc. wliidi. has the Rimu Flat project in hand, in succession to Mr <H. L. Michel resigned
