LADY BARRISTER
IN WELLINGTON SUPREME COURT

WELLINGTON, May 18.
Wigged, gowned, and wearing the starched white collar as worn by the male members of the profession, a lady barrister, Miss Julia M. Dunn, appeared with Mr H. H. Cornish, in a Supreme Court case to-day. Miss Dunn, who has the degree of Master of Laws, is the daughter of Mr Alexnrider Dunn, of Wellington, in whose office she was employed as law clerk for 801119 years pnst. She was. admitted asva; barrister and, solicitor of the Supreme Court last year, and the degree of Master.'of Laws ivas conferred upon , her at (the Victoria College Graduation ceremony recently.
Miss Dunn has studied under Mr Cornish, who occupies the chair. 7of English and New: Zealand law at Victoria College. Tiie case is one dealing with a beauty specialist’s profession, and is a singularly appropriate one for a woman.
