EFFORT 1 TO SECURE REMOVAL

A deputation from, the Federal Citrus Council of Australia requested the Prime Minister to take immediate i ction to secure the removal of the embargo on citrus fruits by New Zealand, as the retention of that maiket was very vital in view of the difficulty attendant upon export to other markets, while local markets'were already overtaxed by this season’s output.

The Prime Minister replied that the reprc:3cnli.vthn.s would receive immediate attention. The Government w r nH take up the matter again with Now Zealand.
