Bert Hinkler’s body has been found beside his wrecked machine in the isolated mountainous region of Costal di Sopra, in Tuscany, 4,600 feet high, between Florence and Arezzo.

A passport found cn the body confirmed his identity. It showed the first name was Herbert, the surname being effaced by the weather, but the birth place, Bundabery, was discernable. One, Joseph Cangarri, aged 20, fractured liis right leg, his arm and his nose, and sustained abrasions. The other, Otto Meyer, aged IP, tiircd hifj right thigh, suffered abrasions and shock. The plane \fus returning from a flight over the Harbour Bridge. The mishap occurred through the engine cutting out above Mascot. The aeroplane was badly damaged. It dropped into a muddy field. NEW BRITISH WAR PLANE. LONDON, April 28. The “Daily Telegraph” says than a new experimental fighter aeroplane has been produced for the Air Ministry. It has a speed of 250' miles an hour with full military equipment, and a velocity dive of over 400 miles an hour.
