SUPERINTENDENT’S SALARY
WELLINGTON, April 27
j Further consideration was given by the Wellington Hospital Board to-day Cu the report of tiie committee appointed to consider the position in regard to the medical and general administration of the hospital. ' The proceedings were in committee, but the chairman (Mr F. Castle) announced subsequently that the board had fixed the salary of the Medical Superintendent at £750 four August 1 with free residence. The committee had recommended that the salary of the Medical Superintendent be reduced to £SOO, with increases of £SO a year to a maximum, of £6CO, with furnished house as at present or residence within the hospital. The salary at present is £1350 and a furnished house, but two cuts have reduced the amount to £1023.
