MT. VESUVIUS
•SERIOUS ERUPTION PROBABLE. LONDON, April 26. A grave, warning that a serious eruption of Vesuvius may take place in the spring was uttered by Professor Malladra, director of Vesuvius Observatory, at Rome. Professor Malladra explains in a communique that the fire cone in the -crater, which provided iam outlet for •smoke and flame from the seething bowels of the volcano, is decreasing in size. If it deceases further, some other outlet will have to' be found, a»s happened in 1929, when the volcano blow out another outlet for itself and poured belling lava on the village cf Z’erzigno.
