POSITION TAKES NEW TURN.

AUCKLAND, April 26,
A development in the Waikato coalmining situation to-day was the decision to hold a meeting to-morrow of the companies concerned in the dispute, which has rendered several collieries idle. The meeting will be under the auspices of the Northern New Zealand coal mine owners’ association, and in vitations to attend have been extended to the Glen Afton, Taupiri, Pukemiro, Renown and Hikurangi companies.
Mr T. O. Bdsliop, secretary of the Xew Zealand coal mine owners’ as " sociation, will arrive from Wellington to attend the meeting. The position o n coalfields is that the Thupiri, Glen Afton and Renown mines are still idle.
