DISARMAMENT
CONFERENE AT GENEVA,

On April 25th the Disarmament Conference re-opens at Geneva, when it is probable that a discussion in detail of the first part of the British draft Convention, will begin. The Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Captain. Anthony Eden, is the chief British delegate at Geneva. He arrived there yesterday, ... and; the statesman whom lie interviewed included the principal German delegate, and the inembers.of the Italian delegation and Mr Henderson. This morning lie saw Mr Norman, Davis the chief American delegate, who will leave, for London in time to attend Saturday’s meeting of the Organising Committee of the World Economic Conference. ,
Mr Henderson, resuming the general commission on the Disarmament Conference, hoped for sufficiently rapid progress with the Polish, Russian, Turkish, Chinese, Norwegian and French amendments to the British Convention, to enable it t 0 receive the final shape within two months. Captain Eden said the, opposition to the Convention was not serious.
