The United Fire Brigades’ Association Conference was continued to-day when a demonvtraton of the latest firefighting appliances was given. Gold stars for twenty-five years service were presented to: — Supt. Craig, of Hamilton. Foreman J. J. Williams of Hokitika. Secretary J. G. Lakin of Hokitika. The following officers were elected. — President, Supt. A. Boon (Now Plymouth) : vice-presidents. Supt, H. E. Follio (Revnnport), Reputy Supt. Wilson (Milton); seeretarv. Captain T. J. Watts (Newmarket); treasurer, secretary 0. .A Osborne (Onclmnga).
